About the exhibition

NTNU Vitenskapsmuseet (NTNU University Museum) presents a new special exhibition about the the Norwegian-Swedish wolf.

On December 4th, 2021 we open a wide-ranging exhibition about wolves at the museum. It tells the story about a species that has existed in our country since the last ice age over 10,000 years ago. Here the audience will get to know the wolf as both a species and a symbol, the wolf's characteristics and life, research done on the species, how the wolf became our best friend; the dog and how our view of the wolf has changed from Viking times to today.

We also shed light on some of the more complex areas of the conflict and encourage visitors to form their own opinions about the wolf's fate in Norway, based on the research presented in the exhibition.
